About Julia Abrahams
General Manager Legal and Clinical Governance
Julia has been Chief Counsel of Catholic Healthcare since 2003. Having completed an Arts Degree (Honours) and Law Degree (Honours) from Sydney University, Julia began her career at international law firm, Freehills. After completing a Masters of Arts in Theology, Julia moved to Catholic Healthcare in 2003 as Chief Counsel and most recently holds the title, General Manager Legal and Clinical Governance. Julia was named one of the top 12 inhouse counsels in health and aged care law in the Doyle’s List in Australia in 2017. In 2022, Julia received Lawyer Monthly’s Aged Care Law Counsel of the Year Award. Julia served a term as a member of the Advisory Board of the Sydney School of Law of the University of Notre Dame Australia. She is a frequent presenter and chair of conferences on aged care law.
