About Nakasamba Banda
A commercial transactions lawyer experienced in corporate, commercial and investment law, Nakasamba provides legal advisory services to domestic and international clients on diverse areas of Zambian law. Her practice includes noteworthy mergers and acquisitions and competition law. Nakasamba also takes an active role in policy debate, legislative review and formulation of competition laws through her interaction with the competition authority and her membership and involvement with the International Competition Network.
In addition, she has considerable experience in Labour Law, Construction Law and domestic and international dispute resolution, and has acted as counsel in several domestic arbitrations.
Nakasamba is an advocate of the Supreme Court, Constitutional Court, Court of Appeal and High court of Zambia (AHCZ, ASCZ) and a Commissioner of Oaths. She is a member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Zambia Branch) (MCIArb), a member of the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ), and a member SADC Law Association. She was also previously a Convenor of the Young Lawyers Committee of LAZ.
As part of her commitment to civic duty, Nakasamba sits as a council member on the OASIS Forum, a coalition of civil society organizations aimed at upholding the rule of Law and constitutionalism in Zambia.
